Can we gain insights into human life by observing flora? Magdalena Weniger (performance) and Maren Wickwire (film) turn their attention to wastelands in the landscape and human biographies, researching their creation, development and exploring their potential.

While the performance by three dancers and the soundtrack of interview fragments and field recordings can be experienced directly, other multidimensional exhibition objects (including videos, flower and mirror installations) must first be discovered. The tour thus becomes an individual exploration of the wasteland on site and the theme itself.

The durational performance will take place from 4 to 6 pm in the car park and in front of the project space of the Kunstverein Wagenhalle. Plan about 45 minutes for your visit and note the following information: You will need a device with internet access for interviews, the language of the interviews is German. Please note: We are on uneven ground.

Team

KOMA&Ko is a group of artists under the artistic direction of Magdalena Weniger, based in Dresden and Freiburg. The works move playfully between dance and voice, installation and space-sound experience. Since 2015, projects for stages, offspaces and public spaces have been realized with a growing network. The core team consists of Magdalena Weniger (direction, choreography), Martin Mulik (technology, lighting design), Bettina Kletzsch (set design) and Jarii van Gohl (music design).
